Across the country, celebrations bring together devotion, music, dance, and collective effort. They are moments where history and everyday life meet. Each episode is developed through research, conversation, and time spent within the communities being documented, prioritizing observation and respect so stories can unfold naturally. The result is a growing visual record of how culture is practiced, shared, and passed down across generations.
Created and directed by Carlos G. Jara, Perú de Fiesta is an independent, long-term project. It represents the first step in a broader effort to preserve cultural memory and, over time, create meaningful ways to give back through storytelling, education, and the arts.
